Hey Linda,

Guess, I won't have to call you today. I think Lloyd has my number and I'll
do whatever. I also forgot to mention that I have an extra WW ticket if
someone in the club wants it. 

I would not put sanitizing solution in the barrel - It will extract the
goodness and contaminate the staves/barrel with sanitizer. The barrel should
be OK as is. There is still bourbon in the barrel but some people add some
extra grain/moonshine alcohol to sanitize. I have also read that some
brewers have used Campden (Na/K metabisulphite) to their wort but I think
this was for use on new /unused wood barrels and prior to fermentation. In
the future, after the bourbon is gone you might want to encourage some bugs
for a sour barrel beer.

We had some people there, but young'uns you probably wouldn't 
recognize!  ;-)  And they were not there to get the barrel.

I thought Lloyd had probably made arrangements with Bob, or whoever, and 
I am not involved any further than helping produce some of the beer for 
the barrel.  Lloyd was away Saturday or the whole weekend but I'm 
thinking maybe he'll get in touch with you and come get the barrel.  The 
plan is (as I recall) to fill it with a sanitizing solution until we are 
able to put the beer in it.
