[THC] managing your email list membership

More specifically, if you want off the list, i.e. unsubscribed, there 
are several options.  It should be easy but it is not easy for everybody.

1 -- write to the whole list and say "please unsub me."   We promise not 
to all holler NOOOOOOOO you can't gooooooo  :-)  At least *I* promise to 
not holler that, and I will unsub you.

2 -- write to me, swihart at purdue.edu and say what you want.

3 - do it yourself.  Start at the list options page (link is on every 
THC email if you have one somewhere)

If you don't know your password, enter your email address and then click 
the remind button.  It will send your password in email.
Then put that password in the password blank and click the Unsubscribe 
button if you want to unsubscribe.

If you want something else besides unsub (like to change to digest 
mode), click the "Log In" button and see if you can get where you want 
to go.  It's a little hard to follow at times, and if you want help 
doing something let me know and I'll try to help figure it out.

This all comes about from a message I got earlier today that said PLEASE 
PLEASE UNSUBSCRIBE ME FROM THIS MAIL LIST!!!
It contained quoted email full of command instructions from the thc 
mail, and it was sent to thc-owner at lafinlarry.net from 
mailman-bounces at mecca2.myhostdns.com

It included a quoted comment that probably never went to a human, saying 
"I have requested this before but am still receiving the emails."

Sounded like the person had become very frustrated.  It's not supposed 
to be frustrating.  If you need to be doing things with your time 
besides deleting THC email that you don't really need or want, that's 
what we want for you too!  Just send a message and I'll take you off.
