[Also posted on the bulletin board]

Today I called around and this is what I found:

People's will ONLY FILL tanks, NOT EXCHANGE OR RECERTIFY; Cost is about $16.
Hours are usually 8-5

PRAXAIR (near UPS off 26th) will ONLY EXCHANGE, not fill; for about $17
Hours are usually 8-5 also.

ACE Fire Extinguisher will FILL (yes, about $7 or $8 if I remember right a
bout a year ago), AND they will RECERTIFY tanks that are due (if it passes
the pressure test) but the guy there told me it would take 3 or so days
before you got it checked/returned. I think I had to call ahead to make sure
someone was there to refill my bottle (they may be out delivering/on
call)....keep this in mind before you just drop by.

=======================
OK, ALAN and all, I JUST got a 5# CO2 tank EXCHANGED from PRAXAIR
today.....but when I hooked it up my low psi guage went crazy. I closed the
tank valve then vented off what little CO2 was in my gauge and hose....IT
HAD a little LIQUID COMING OUT with the gas.......That has to be water + ??.
I AM NOT HAPPY since I do NOT want that in my beer! I will be contacting
them Sat/Mon to ask why this is the case (1st time I've ever seen that) and
I'll let you all know how that works out. HOPEFULLY it is just a fluke with
this new bottle. I'm NOT trying to dirty their name, I'm just really
surprised.....

However, my question is: has anyone else experienced LIQUID coming out of
their CO2 bottles with the gas?!?!?

Thanks,

-Scott
