Yet another thing on June 6, Fwd below. I will be at baby shower for my
niece, in Middlebury.
The Boneyard Brew Off is great fun, volunteer to steward or judge
(novices welcome as far as I know.) They will find you a free place to
bunk. My judging experience started in June 2004 when Rick and I
volunteered to steward at this event, and they were desperately short of
judges, asked in any stewards were willing to judge, paired with an
experienced judge..... and 13 IPAs later (Sat morning flight) I was
hooked. It's challenging, and fun, and a service to the hobby and the
homebrew community. (And all craft brewers and all who supply them with
ingredients!)

The Boneyard is a creek/river in the area of Urbana-Champaign. Runs
through campus, now largely through culverts and covered oncrete spillways.

Greetings from East-Central Illinois!
You have received this message because you are listed
as a contact for a homebrew club in the region, you've
judged with us previously, we've judged at your competition,
etc.
The 15th Annual Boneyard Brew-Off is taking place in
Champaign-Urbana, Illinois, this coming weekend (June 6).
We have a reasonably small number of entries, but still
need a few more experienced judges in order to comfortably
evaluate the beer, mead, and cider. This year we're blessed
with a relatively large number of novice and apprentice
judges who really could use the guidance of more experienced
folks--- like you and your fellow judges!
I know this is short notice but we'd really appreciate
seeing you here and having you spread the word in your homebrew
judge circles. You can find more information about judging at
the Boneyard Brew-Off here:

Thanks, and we hope to see you this weekend!

P.S. If you respond fast, we may be able to shoe-horn in
an extra walk-in entry or two if you'd like to enter the
competition.
