This message came to me (and all the homebrew club contacts and the
brewpub email addresses in the state) from Fred Koenigshof.
If anybody wanted to drive up there I might be tempted to get a bucket.
Mmmmmm. Raspberry mead is so good. However I will probably have enough
raspberries this year to make at least one batch
I don't know anything about the K&K Farms and I don't think they have a
website, but there is a neat story here:
http://www.fruitgrowersnews.com/pages/arts.php?ns=738
The article doesn't use either word organic or natural, but it sounds to
me to be as local as local needs to be, and I am very in favor of food
(and beer, and wine!) that has been driven around very little or not at
all. The raspberries at my place will not have to ride far to make it
into the carboy.
I have frozen red raspberries in 20 lb buckets for sale. The price is
2.00 per pound or 1.75 per pound if buying 1000 pounds or more.
