[THC] September meeting -2

HearYe!! HearYe!!
 
The September gathering of THC will be hosted by Mike and Julie Booth at 11288 S 500E on Sunday September 21 from 1:00 to 5 or 6(ish).  We'll have plenty of room for brewing and consuming.  We'll provide a batch of Mike's infamous wings for snacking and whatever else shows up.  We'll also have brats on the Q.  If you can make it, bring along  some chips, a salad, or a desert (anything resembling homebrew for tasting will be wellcomed as well).  If you have a lawn game, bring it along.  We're still a work in progress, but we have a front yard with grass...  
 
The theme for the September meeting was supposed to be harvesting of the massive hops crop I tried to grow out front, but alas, my hops grew no crops.  It will probably go down in the annals of history as the largest hops crop failure in the history of Indiana agricultrue.  I'll try again next year in a new location with better drainage.  You can all come out and critique my hops circle (think of a May pole with pulleys).  So, to compensate for the lack of hops, we'll do the wings instead.
 
 
Directions to the Booth's place:
 
There are many ways to get out here.  Here are just a few of the more common ones.
 
1. From West Lafayette: Take 231 to Romney.  Turn left onto SR28.  Go 5 miles to 500E.  Turn right.  We're the first house on the right.
 
2.From Downtown Lafayette: Take 9th Street all the way to SR28 (9th turns into 100E after 350).  Turn left onto SR28.  Go 4 miles to 500E where you will turn right and we're the first house on the right.
 
3. From the East side of Lafayette:  Take SR52 south to 450E.  This goes all the way to CR800.  Stop there, look both ways and turn left.  Proceed exactly 1/2 mile to 500E and turn right.  Proceed on 500E to SR28.  Once again, stop, look both ways, then cross over.  Think about this now, we're still going  to be the first house on the right.
 
4.  If you miss 450E, you can proceed to SR28 on 52 where you will turn right onto  SR28.  Go West on SR28 approximately 5 miles to 500E.  Turn LEFT and we're still the ......
 
5.  You can get to our house from the south as well.  Just reverse the directions on SR52 and 231.  
 
6. Finally there's always a parachute drop, or Helicopter landing, but so far no one has attempted either.
