It is correct that the Mexican carboy manufacturer stopped making carboys.
Since about August carboys have been imported from Italy. The price of
carboys has increased because of transportation and the US$ compared to the
Euro. All indications are that the price won't increase more than it has and
that the supply of 3, 5 and 6 gallon carboys will not be interrupted.
However, I don't expect to see 6.5 gallon carboys any time soon. 

 

That being said, Linda's carboys are well worth the price.
