[THC] Aug 25th -- brewing anyone?

I plan to brew at the meeting. Anyone else is welcome (and encouraged)
to brew as well. There's plenty of space for it, but you need to
consider water. We have a well, so there'll be plenty of hard (with
iron) water (which probably won't work for brewing), or softened water
(could work for extract batches or some all grain batches with some
mineral treatment).

We also have an RO filter. I use the water from this for brewing. It
gives me a clean slate to start with and I can mineralize the water for
the style. The problem is that it makes it a drop at a time (roughly
15gal/day). With some planning, this is not a problem. If you are
brewing and would like to use RO water, please let me know how much
you'll need (I usually plan on ~20 gal for a 10 gallon batch) and I'll
set it aside for you.

You don't need to be a registered BB user to read the "Public 
Announcements" at the BB and get the info about the Aug 25th meeting.

If you want to be a registered BB user (so you can post or read all of 
it), let me know.  I've had to set it up so that all users have to be 
registered by an admin, or else there are five or six spambots per day 
trying to register and the time it takes to deny and delete them was 
getting frustrating.
